Kelab Staf UiTM Kedah (KSUK) is established upon the Declaration of Pantai Merdeka in the year 2000 in which, among others, requires the establishment of an exclusive university staff club. Initially, it was known as the UiTM Sungai Petani Staff Club (KSUSP) but later was changed to Kelab Staf UiTM Kedah or better known as KSUK to meet the requirements of the Registrar of Society (ROS). The uniqueness of KSUK is that it works a shared platform for all UiTM Kedah staff whether academic staff or administrative staff. The committee appointed every two years certainly consists of both groups of campus staff.
In general, KSUK focuses on staff’ welfare as well as being a partner to the campus in realizing university’s aspiration programs. As an internal association, KSUK prioritizes activities on campus such as organizing staff’ sport event, fishing competitions, car boot sale, recreational activities for staff, training programs for staff as well as conducting off-campus tours. KSUK also provides several benefits to its members such as the incentives for the retired member, the newlyweds, member with new baby as well as staff who are affected by disasters and so on. To date, KSUK is still entrusted by the campus management to run several special programs for the staff.
