The establishment of Finance Department occured at the same time with the establishment of UiTM Kedah on the 1st October 1997. The Finance Department’s main objective is to handle all financial matters concerning UiTM Kedah. All financial matters include account management and financial management are the same like the main campus.

It started with only 3 staff; En. Ahmad Faisal Mohamed, En. Osman Hj Hamid and Pn. Norasmah Hj Omar but now thenumber of staff in the Finance Department has increased to 15 altogether. Presently, the Finance department is headed by  Hj Ahmad Zuki Bin Hj Hasan as the Head of Department.
VISION
To become a department that is excellent and professional.
MISSION
To handle all the services concerning financial management fast, efficient, precise and diligently the same as the UiTM objective and mission.
OBJECTIVES
  • To achieve the best financial management by acquiring a clean audit certificate every year.
  • To increase customers’ perception and satisfaction by adhering to the customers’ policy and all the rules.
  • To encourage a continuous improvement culture by all the staff with the involvement of every staff in at least one project or quality initiative every year.
  • To achieve 100% use of ICT for all the financial management operation.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
1. Planning & Budget
Preparing UiTM Kedah’s budget, distributing of budget and controlling the budget.
2. Financial Management
Money received, payment to students, payment to staff, payment to suppliers, students’ registration, payroll slip printing.
3. Trust Fund Management
Trust fund, Research fund, Consultation fund
4. Purchase Management
Direct purchase, local order purchase, tender purchase, appointment of direct consultation procedure, company registration, return of company deposit, termination
5. Storage & Property Management
To accept and distribute from the main store, order of store materials, property control, termination
