The Faculty of Administrative Science & Policy Studies (FSPPP) has been established officially on January 14, 2003, after major restructuring of Faculty of Public Administrative and Laws. Even though the faculty upheld a new name, the faculty has been strengthening its administrations and policy development foundation for many years.

The Diploma of Public Administration has existed in UiTM Kedah since October 1997 in accordance with the establishment of UiTM Sg. Petani Campus. In addition, the Bachelor of Administrative Science (BAS) was set up on May 2006. Sg Petani campus is also involved in managing both PLK and e-PJJ programme.


At the moment, 14 lecturers are responsible in managing both programmes. The area of expertise incorporated various fields, as follows: -

  • Public Administration
  • Management
  • Human Resources & Social Security
  • Political Science
  • Urban Sociology
  • Financial Administration
  • Industrial & Organization
  • Psychology
  • Organizational Development
  • Corporate Management

The student enrolment into these programmes (delete) has shown a positive increment. A total of 650 students enrolled for DPA, and 175 students for BAS as per to-date. On top of that, both programmes have successfully earmark student’s club, which are the BASICs for BAS and DiPAC for DPA programme. The clubs have been actively involved with various activities, particularly giving benefits for both students and the society.

To produce professional and competitive Bumiputera administrators as required by the country.
