UiTM has started its operation on 1 October 1997 (November 1997 – April 1998 session). The Administration department at that time was equipped with only 5 staff and since then it has increased to 27 staff.
 
MAIN FUNCTIONS
1. Placement Management
  Placement, staff intake/ interviews, staff registration, transfer, resignation/ retirement, staff on contract basis, staff promotion
   
2. Service And Staff Welfare
  Staff performance report, job confirmation, leave, staff discipline, personal file / service book, loan, housing/ vehicle/ computer, death benefit
   
3. Training & Staff Development
  Examination, planning/ course/ training/ seminar
   
4. Purchase/ Payment
  Electric & water, telephone, medical care, photostat machine rental, stamp/franking machine, stock payment, mileage, over time

The Administrative Department as the centre of administration of  UiTM Kedah branch that will support and work towards achieving UiTM vision.

To provide a service that is efficient and effective.
